Right Here provide FREE Resilience building activities for 16 – 25 year olds. Current sessions include:

  •  Self esteem
  • Rock climbing
  • Chill out
  • Stand up comedy
  • Anger management
  • Music production
  • Hiking

The project aims to build young peoples levels of resilience. Resilience is the ability to recover easily from difficult times– to develop coping strategies, to bounce back and be stronger.

We provide activities which develop confidence, self esteem, teamwork skills, problem solving, communication, trust, physical fitness, feelings of accomplishment, and above all they are lots of fun! Many people find they are an excellent way to ‘clear the head’.

Where and when

Sessions run in different locations and times across the city and vary from one off sessions to 6 week courses.

Age range

16 – 25

Getting there

Right Here is based within Reed House – a building owned by Sussex Central YMCA. To access the building you will need to approach the door, and ring the buzzer. The receptionist may ask you who you are here to see – mention that you are here to see the Right Here project, and you will be allowed in. Right Here is based on the very top floor of the building – you will need to climb several flights of stairs to the top.

The activities are all based in different locations around the city. You will be given detailed instructions on how to reach each of these when you have signed up to take part.

Accessibility

The project aims to ensure all activities are safe spaces for all young people. If you have any concerns, or specific requirements, please get in touch.
