Healthy Lifetyles Team (Brighton & Hove City Council)
We offer support to people who want to improve their health by:
– Getting more active (All ages, under 16 would need parent/guardian consent to access our service)
– Stopping smoking (Over 18)
– Losing weight (All ages, under 16 would need parent/guardian consent to access our service)
– Drinking less alchohol (Over 18)
Our team offers a wide range of support and can also help you to access other support available in the city. Talk to one of our friendly team about the changes you would like to make and we can work with you to access the support you need.
(Please note that some of the sport and exercise activities our service provides do have costs, typically between £2-£5 per session).
Age ranges for services within the Healthy Lifestyles team vary. All ages can access Active for Life physical activity classes and activities, (under 16's would need parent/guardian consent to access our service). The Health Trainer service, who provide one-to-one support around reducing alcohol, stopping smoking, getting more active or having a more balanced diet, support people above the age of 18.
